The Department of Interior Design at Asia University will hold a seminar titled "Sustainable Development Requirements in Interior Design Regulations: Comprehensive Guidance from Design to Construction" on October 30, 2024 (Wednesday), from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Room A423. Architect Lin Che-Cheng, principal of TRIO Architects, has been invited to share his insights on sustainable development requirements embedded within current interior design regulations. The lecture will focus on how sustainable development concepts can be integrated into each stage of the design and construction process within the framework of existing regulations.

As global environmental awareness rises, sustainable development has become an imperative topic across all industries, including interior design and architecture. This seminar will emphasize how regulations guide sustainable practices, covering various aspects such as design planning, material selection, and construction processes. Through an extensive perspective from regulatory interpretation to practical application, the seminar aims to equip students with a holistic understanding of sustainable development in their field. Architect Lin, with his extensive expertise and practical experience, will analyze current regulations through real-world examples, illustrating how they influence the architecture and interior design industries toward more environmentally friendly practices.

The event provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of how to implement sustainable design and construction standards while adhering to regulations, thereby enhancing their professional skills and contributing to environmental protection. Hosted by the Department of Interior Design at Asia University, this seminar aims to inspire and inform the interior design and architecture fields toward sustainable development practices.
