The Department of Interior Design of the School of Creative Design, Asia University implemented the University Social Responsibility (USR) program. Teacher Lin-Chia hui from the Department of Interior Design led the students to serve the Huanan community in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. Teacher Lin said that students make good use of their interior design skills to practice the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On April 22, the teachers and students of the Department of Interior Design first participated in the Huanan community to hold the "Jiaotian Festival" activity to learn about important community festivals, community characteristics and environment. After three weeks of discussions on the design plan, teachers and students returned to report on the land and container house plan donated by Mr. He, a community resident. The presence of the landlord Mr. He and his wife, the project manager of the (SWCB) rural area highlight project in Yunlin area, and the head of the Huanan community Yu Mingxuan, project supervisor Lai Yamei, community residents, etc.

Mr. Lin said that to practice the University's social responsibility (USR program), he hoped that students can put new thinking in existing concepts, achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), face community problems, find solutions, and learn from design exercises. Gain creative experience. By understanding the actual needs of the community and the professional skills learned from the course, the students will serve the remote villages. Next, the students must discuss and practice the opinions given by the "owners" with the teachers, and complete the design proposal on June 17.

Teacher Lin said that forest eagles, great crested eagles, crested eagles, blue-bellied pheasants, great red flying squirrels, horned owls, purple-spotted butterflies, grey-faced eagles, crab-eating mongooses and crested eagles are common in the Huanan community, and the ecological resources are rich.

Zhang Biran, a sophomore from the Department of Interior Design, pointed out that after listening to the design proposals of each group of students, he found that the concepts expressed by each group of students were different. Among them, the first group was the most impressed. They used many materials unique to the Huanan community. Design, like bamboo is one of the building materials. After this report, I have a better understanding of what the community needs and how my group should correct it.

Wang Zhixiang, class A of the sophomore year of the Department of Interior Design, pointed out that he was honored to be selected by the teacher as the candidate for this report. After the report, he felt that there were still many deficiencies. For example, it was easy to get nervous during the report, and it was necessary to practice more to improve. After this discussion, I am very happy to get the guidance of the elders in the community and the person in charge of the migration plan for college students. I believe that these relevant suggestions can make my design more complete.

Xiao Jiayi, class B of the sophomore year of the Department of Interior Design, pointed out that he likes the natural environment and fresh air of the Huanan community, and also likes the warm hospitality of the community elders and the dedication of the community association cadres to the community. The feedback from the elders let me know what they want and what they care about, reflect on how to present the content of the briefing, and find out what can be improved from their opinions. Do a little social responsibility.
